What's Happening In February: PBIS Kindness
✨ Our Theme: A Symphony of Kindness ✨
During February, let's create a harmonious symphony of kindness that echoes through every hallway, classroom, and heart in our community. We believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and together, we can transform our school into a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and respected.
🌈 What Kindness Means to Us 🌈
Inclusive Acts: Kindness knows no boundaries. Let's celebrate our differences and ensure that every member of our community feels included and appreciated.
Words that Heal: Our words have the power to heal or harm. Let's choose words that uplift and inspire, creating a positive and nurturing environment for all.
Empathy in Action: Kindness is rooted in empathy. Let's actively seek to understand and support each other, fostering a culture of empathy and compassion.
🌻 Cultivating a Garden of Kindness 🌻
Just as a garden needs nurturing, our community thrives when we cultivate kindness. Each kind gesture, smile, and act of consideration is a seed planted in our collective garden, contributing to a culture where everyone can blossom.
🌟 Kind Choices, Bright Futures 🌟
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) with a focus on kindness is our compass. By making kind choices, we lay the foundation for brighter futures for ourselves and those around us. Our actions today shape the inclusive and supportive community we aspire to become.
🌈 Here's to Kindness and Connection! 🌈
Thank you for being a part of our community. Together, let's make this school year a testament to the transformative power of kindness.
With gratitude and kindness,
Kim Hansen, Principal

Student Teachers at PES
Pecatonica Elementary is pleased to host two college students who are completing their student teaching experience with us in Pec.
Miss Isabella (Bella) Wolf is student teaching in Miss DeWall's 1st grade class. Miss Wolf is no stranger to PES as she was employed for the past couple of years as a paraprofessional. Miss Wolf is currently studying at Western Governors University.
Miss Rebekkah Fetherstone is joining us from Rockford University. We were lucky enough to have Miss Fetherstone observe with us earlier this year and she will be student teaching in Mrs. Garcia's kindergarten class.
We welcome them not only to PES, but also the teaching profession!
