Math Homework This Week
Clarity on Math Homework this week
Today I told the class that their homework this week would be to practice their math facts. As we continue to work on multiplication and division, I am often seeing errors that are a result of having to "figure out" their math facts rather than knowing them.
Please have your child work on their math facts for at least 10 minutes each day. You may have them use an app, a computer program, flash cards, or simply quiz them. The choice is yours! On Friday, they simply need to bring in a sheet of paper that states:
"Student's Name" practiced their math facts for at least 10 minutes each day this week." and put your signatuture on it.
If your child fluently knows their math facts, you can switch it around and use division instead. For instance, ask them, "What is 56 divided by 7?"
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Thanks so much!
