John Paul I Update

January 21, 2022

Dear Families,

We welcome 2022...and all the possibilities a new year brings.

During the month of January, we will embrace the dreams we hold and the promises we will make to one another as we continue to build and embrace a school culture that celebrates the gifts and talents of our students, staff and parent community.

At John Paul I, we have spirit and we are inspired each day to reach out for all we can imagine.

We are a school that believes:

"We All Belong"... Every Child ... Every Day... No Exceptions .

We continue to recognize the presence of God in our daily lives, embracing our faith and modeling our beliefs and values as we continue to care for one another here at John Paul I. In the faces of our children we recognize the presence of God. We see each child as a precious gift. Together, we will continue to serve God through acts of kindness and service that enrich our community and involve our children in the spirit of giving. How beautifully we all shared in that spirit of giving at Christmas. Thank you for your generosity.

On behalf of the staff of John Paul I, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a joyful New Year.

We hope that your holidays have been restful, rewarding and filled with the richness of family activities and events.

A beautiful message from Pope Francis: he says,

“Rivers do not drink their own water;

trees do not eat their own fruit;

the sun does not shine on itself and flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves.

Living for others is a rule of nature.

We are all born to help each other. No matter how difficult it is…

Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you.”

Let us all remember then that every changing color of a leaf is beautiful and every changing situation of life is meaningful, both need very clear vision.

So do not grumble or complain, let us instead remember that

Pain is a sign that we are alive,

Problems are a sign that we are strong and

Prayer is a sign we are not alone!!

If we can acknowledge these truths and condition our hearts and minds,

our lives will be more meaningful, different and worthwhile!!

Wishing you a blessed 2022 ahead!
