Family Knight News
Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year
Message from the Principal - Ms. Calcaño
Hello LES Families,
It has been a wonderful beginning of the school year! It is truly an honor and a privilege to be trusted with your amazing children every day.
As we continue to teach students routines and procedures, we are currently not allowing parents to join us for lunch. Parents are welcomed to join students for lunch after Labor Day, starting on September 6th. We do want to encourage you to join us on Thursday, August 25th for Curriculum Night from 6:00 – 8:00. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our school and your child’s teacher. We hope you come at 5:30 to hear from our PTA on the same night. There is also more information about PTA below.
In closing, our greatest resource in our schools and communities is the partnerships that we can create with each other. It takes all of us working together to create a school we all love. Please feel free to reach out to us if there is anything you need! We look forward to our continued partnership.
Proud to be your principal,
Ms. Calcaño

Student Check Outs and Visitors
Safety is one of our top priorities. The person checking a student out from school must be listed
on the student's emergency contact list and they must show a photo ID. A student will not be
released if an ID is not provided. We also have a visitor management system in place. All visitors must present a photo ID to enter the building and are required to wear their visitor sticker while in the building.
