When Mala was 11, she first stood up against the Taliban. Mala continued to speak up for education rights even after she got shot in the head by a Taliban gunman when she was 15. She miraculously survived. When Mala was 16, she became the youngest person to ever receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Why Malala is a Great Leader
Malala is very courageous, smart, and confident in herself and her beliefs. Throughout her journey, she has learned to be even braver than she was before. By having these traits, she has shown people how to overcome thier fears, and she has made education in the Middle East more possible.
