Dr. Looney's Message
Happy Friday!
Please take time to complete the parent EES Survey from the county. It gives us vital information about our school and how we are doing. We really appreciate your support in this. You'll find the survey information in the newsletter below. (In Counselor Corner, near the end)
Tuesday we have an IB Parent Night at Summerour. If you have questions about our IB program, this is the time to get them. Some teachers will be on hand to explain and to answer you.
We are 5 days from Spring Break. We are excited about that. We want to make sure we have 5 strong days of teaching and learning. Have children check book bags and turn in any missing assignments that are just sitting in there.
Have an awesome weekend. Reach out if you need anything.

Student EES Surveys
Summerour will be taking this survey on Thursday and Friday this week.
Parent EES Survey Open
Each year, GCPS asks our families about their child’s school as part of our commitment to improvement. This year, the school district is partnering with the Center for Educational Effectiveness to ask questions that provide feedback on nine characteristics of high-performing schools. In addition, the survey asks about two other areas associated with high-performing schools—district support for improvement and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds.
The Parent/Family survey opened on Monday and will remain open through April 2. Please use the link or QR code found below to share your feedback. Make sure to select your preferred language on the first page (English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese).
