Charity Week 2024
West Bend High School’s 20th annual Charity Week will start next week on 2/12 culminating on 2/17 with the Charity Dance. Last year the students, families, staff of East & West High Schools, and our business partners, were able to raise about $52,000 for 6 nonprofit organizations! This year we hope for the same level of generosity as we have another slate of very deserving organizations to support along with some amazing business partners!
Monday, 2/12: Make a Wish Foundation of Wisconsin (Almost $2000 pledged from our high school Co-curricular clubs)
Tuesday, 2/13: The Threshold, Inc. ($3000 Steiner Electric & $1000 Sunrise Rotary)
Wednesday, 2/14: Volunteer Center ($1000 Alpha Design & $1000 Clark Foundation)
Thursday, 2/15: Habitat for Humanity ($3000 West Bend Insurance)
Friday, 2/16: Old Glory Honor Flight (Delta Defense will donate $2 for every $1, up to $7,500)
Saturday, 2/17: Charity Dance to support the Kettle Moraine YMCA (Westbury will match $1 for $1 of tickets sold)
To add to this exciting week, we also have dress-up spirit days each day next week. We hope all students and staff enjoy taking part in these fun-filled days.
Monday, 2/12: Pajama Day
Tuesday, 2/13: Class Colors (Freshmen wear green, Sophomores wear yellow, Juniors wear blue, Seniors wear pink, and Staff wear red.)
Wednesday, 2/14: Valentine’s Day - Wear your heart gear
Thursday, 2/15: Anything But a Backpack Day (Click here for rules & guidelines)
Friday, 2/16: Red, White, & Blue Day
We would like your help in encouraging your child(ren) to attend the Charity Dance on February 17th from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. at the West Bend High School. The cost of a ticket is $20 and every dollar goes to the YMCA, plus each ticket comes with a free voucher for a 1-month Family Membership to the YMCA ($78 value). In addition, students attending the dance will be put into a raffle to win 1 of 5 full-year youth memberships to the YMCA and they will have a chance to win 1 of 2 $500 Southwest Travel vouchers donated by Shooting Star Travels. If that wasn’t enough Westbury Bank has pledged to match every ticket sold dollar for dollar and Delta Defence has pledged to match donations to Honor Flight $2 for every $1 donated up to $7500! Please encourage your child to attend the dance and/or donate during next week's activities. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something! We appreciate your support!
The Charity Dance on Feb 17th from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. will be featuring one of the hottest new Deejays in Wisconsin known as DJ Young Sante! Please be aware that if your child has a light sensitivity we did ask him to refrain from using strobe lights and limit the flashing speed on all the lighting. Tickets are on sale at the bookkeeper or at the dance.
