Important Information for Seniors and their families
Graduation is quickly approaching & we have two IMPORTANT mandatory dates for your calendar.
June 17 (2:30-4:30)- Mandatory Celebration of Graduation practice at D4 stadium (if you are not at practice, you will not be able to participate in the celebration ceremony)
Dress Code- Please be sure to read the information about the dress code for the celebration of graduates. Students who are not in dress code will not be able to participate in the celebration ceremony.
Other Things to Remember-
1. Senior Picnic: We have clearance to go ahead with a picnic at Folly Beach for our graduating class. The picnic will take place on May 25 from 10-2. Students will meet at the Folly Beach County park in the pavilion area. The picnic is being funded by our prom account, so students will be able to participate at no cost to them EXCEPT the cost of admission to the park, which is $1. We will not be providing transportation, so students will need to get themselves to/from the picnic. Further details are listed on the permission slip document.
We will need a permission slip for every participant & updated medical info on file with the nurse. Parents, please see the permission slip here & fill it out once your student has decided if he/she will participate. I will contact those in need of an updated medical form.
2. Celebration of Graduates:
Seniors, please make sure that you fill out the home school graduation survey. I need to let home schools know who will be participating in their ceremonies.
CCSD has determined that you may bring 4 guests to ECHS's Celebration of Graduates to be held June 18.
Please see the Senior News for other information and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.

Each of our calendar days is equivalent to a day on the CCSD calendar. You can find a list of dates 2020-21 on this crosswalk document. For example, our first day of school was August 18, 2020, but the district's first day of school was September 8, 2020, so the attendance that we recorded on August 18 will be reflected in PowerSchool on September 8. Friday, November 13, 2020, is our 59th day of school and will be recorded in PowerSchool as December 4, 2020.
IMPORTANT: eLEARNING DAYS ADDED TO THE CALENDAR
The Board voted to adjust the CCSD calendar to make May 17 e-Learning days at home for all students.
Students will not report to campus on these days. All high school classes will be assigned asynchronous work to document attendance. Students enrolled in TTC classes SHOULD still tune into their TTC classes if the class has a synchronous meeting time on any of those days.
Family Support Hotline
A Family Support Line has been established to provide a resource for students or parents that need additional support during this extended schools closure. This hotline is to assist families in connecting to resources which could be school counselors, parent advocates, DMH services, social workers, etc.
CCSD employees from the Departments of Alternative Programs, Counseling Services, and Intervention & Psychological Services will answer calls Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. The Family Support Hotline number is 843-937-7907.
