Exercise Obstacle Course

Items you will need to set up your course before you begin:

  • couch or chair
  • a floor mat/rug
  • slippery socks
  • remote control or phone
  • clock or stopwatch
  • measure and mark a distance of 15"​​

​**Set up your course ahead of time so everything is ready before you start the watch.

Activities

Step 1: Warm Up


  1. Run in place for 20 seconds
  2. Do 10 jumping jacks


**Now get your stopwatch or clock ready to go. You will time and record how long it takes to complete your obstacle course.


Step 2: Obstacle Course Run #1


  1. Ready GO...Start the clock!!!!!
  2. Couch Sit and Jump (20x)
  3. Couch Incline Push-up (20x)
  4. Sock Running Man (10x each leg)
  5. Shuttle Run (touch each object 10x)
  6. Mat Jumps (10x each leg)
  7. Remote Control Balance Touches (10x each leg)
  8. Scissor Steps (10x each leg)



  • STOP the clock!!!!


*Write down or remember your time. Rest 1 minute.


Step 3: Obstacle Course Run #2


  1. Ready GO...Start the clock!!!!!
  2. Couch Sit and Jump (20x)
  3. Couch Incline Push-up (20x)
  4. Sock Running Man (10x each leg)
  5. Shuttle Run (touch each object 10x)
  6. Mat Jumps (10x each leg)
  7. Remote Control Balance Touches (10x each leg)

Step 4: Cool Down


  1. Slow deep breathing
  2. Tripod - try to hold for 10 seconds
  3. Standing Toe Touch - hold 10 seconds
