We Are Together Tamanend!
November 4, 2016
Tamanend Varsity Soccer - Undefeated District Champs!
Congratulations to our Varsity Soccer team who finished their undefeated (12-0) season as district champions with a 4 to 3 overtime win against Holicong.
Halloween Spirit & Service!
Congratulations to all staff and students who participated in the Tamanend Halloween Spirit on Monday! Pictured here are the Student Council Officers and costume winners.
In addition to dressing up for the school costume contest, our 7th graders participated in Trick or Treat for UNICEF after learning all about how The United Nations Children's Fund provides humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries. Our students show their RoAR, even throughout fun holidays!
CB Kids Voting
Students around CB are participating in a mock Presidential Election. After studying candidates' positions, students are casting their votes via an online Microsoft form and schools have been assigned states with like population equivalents to simulate the Electoral College. Polls will close at 1 p.m. on Monday so that results can be counted and shared. We thank our Social Studies teachers around the district for this important initiative.
Our official conference day is next Tuesday, November 8th, although some conferences have already taken place. It is important that students join the conferences so that their insights and questions are heard. For middle school conferences, teachers might contact parents to schedule, or parents/guardians may request a conference. If you would like a conference to discuss your student's progress in school, please email your student's teacher or team leader to schedule a time to meet. If teachers do not request a conference, and you do not have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, then a conference is not necessary at this time. However, if at any time throughout the year that should change and you do have questions or concerns, please contact us so that we can all work together to ensure your student’s success.
Starting in this edition of Tamanend Together, we will include a link where you can communicate back to us. We are interested in hearing what you liked best about what we did at Tamanend this week, how we could do even better, and any other ideas you have for us. We hope this will strengthen our partnership with you in creating the best school Tamanend can be for our students!

Each Friday, Mr. Boyle draws one student's Tiger Track and announces the winner on our Tamanend Today Show. Tamanend Parent Council
Thursday, Nov. 17th, 9am
1492 Stuckert Road
Parent Council is an open meeting where all parents are welcome to attend to learn more about Tamanend Middle School. Parent Council typically meets on the third Thursday of each month at 9 a.m. There is no obligation to attend all Parent Councils and there are no elected positions. Parent Council is a forum for parents and school leaders to learn from and with each other, together.
At this month's Parent Council, Corinne Sikora, CBSD Supervisor of Student Services, will lead us in a discussion regarding adolescent anxiety and how to support our students with strategies for coping.
