Signs of readiness?
If your child is verbally saying that they need to use the restroom, pointing to the toilet, or acknowledging that they need to use the restroom, then it would be a good time to start training them.
Reasons to begin training?
Knowing that your child is able to use the restroom on their own, may make your life easier. It shows that they are healthy and are able to develop more skills. Being able to use the restroom by themselves shows that they are growing up.
