What Are We Learning???
We have learned about L, F, E, H, T, U, C, O, Q, S, I, J & G, D, P, B and R. This week we will review the names, sounds and how to write each letter. We also will work on some rhyming activities and beginning sound activities.
We are going to finish our city/buildings from last week. We also are going to read the book It's Not a Box and complete a story response. We will make Valentine's boxes here at school. Thursday is busy with Omaha Children's Museum coming to do 3 Little Pig experiments and our Valentine's celebration.
In the next couple of weeks we will be doing our unit on boxes and then reduce, reuse, recycle. If you have any empty boxes (food, packages, shoes, etc.) that you want to send in for us to use please do!!
Speech-Language Group- Feb 8-12, 2016
We will follow directions by giving a heart to a named peer and then placing our name card into a container. We will practice saying words that begin with the /k/ sound and the /g/ sound. We will practice the nursery rhyme "Humpty Dumpty".
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall;
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses
and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.
A Note From Kristy....
Note from the Nurse:
We will be performing Health screenings on Preschool students for Height, Weight, Dental and Hearing on February 17th (AM class) and February 24th (PM class).
You have a right to refuse the screening by sending a request in writing to your child’s teacher on or before the screening date(s) as well as provide proof that a similar screening has been conducted within the last 6 months.
