Please remember to use GroupMe as a way to get reminders or questions out regarding class events only. If you have questions for your scholar's teacher on individual or personal matters, please email the teacher or contact the school during business hours. Our teachers have been receiving a myriad of side messages and messages during class time. Please remember that our teachers are teaching! Please do not expect them to answer during class time. We want the to Group me to serve as a means to obtain help from other parents and when necessary, teachers and coaches, but we do need parents to adhere to the Group Me Guidelines. As per the handbook, Group Me, here are the Group Me guidelines:
· Using group me as a communication tool only, such as for obtaining information about upcoming events, homework,
· Abstaining from personal messages or using the group me to send a message to the teacher about your personal needs or something about just your child—please use email for this.
· Using group me to report absences, tardies, or extended day needs. These need to be reported to the office only.
· Airing personal grievances or any other comments that goes against the Christian Code of Conduct
· Side messaging the principal, staff, or school personnel. All individual communication with Our Lady of Fatima staff should be done via email or through a conference.
Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser 1/30/20
We will be having a spaghetti fundraiser dinner in Kukral on Thursday, January 30th, from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Plates will include spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink.
Adult plates $8 and Child plates $5, Dine-In or Take-Out
Blue order forms were sent home with scholars or click on the attachment below to print one out.

Steps For Students February 15, 2020
Hello Fatima Friends and Family!
We are only 1 month away from our 15th annual Steps for Students 5k fundraiser!
We are SO HAPPY to report that Our Lady of Fatima in Texas City is currently in the lead with a whopping $33,216.08 raised!!! ( Way to Go Fr. Clint for being the top fund raising champion in our Archdiocese!)
ALL students are required to register, and we would LOVE to have ALL family members register too! Remember, we get 100% of ALL donations made under registered participants, once you have registered, email and send out your personal link on social media so that family members, coworkers, friends, etc. can all donate under your page!
Also, please remember that on February 14, we will be having our STEPS SOCK HOP and our Valentine’s Day party as one big event from 2pm-3pm. ALL students MUST be registered to be eligible to attend. Therefore we must have 100% student participation! What are you waiting for? Register today!

Q. What is Steps for Students?
Steps for Students is an annual event benefiting the 58 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston- Houston. This exciting day of family fun includes a sunrise Mass, 5K USA Track and Field Association sanctioned race, Catholic School Village and post-race party. The goal of Steps for Students is to unite the greater Houston community to raise awareness of the benefit of a Catholic education and provide much needed resources for our Catholic schools. In 2019, over 10,000 people registered for the race and over $935,000 was raised in support of these needs.
Q. When does Steps for Students take place?
The event is held in downtown Houston adjacent to the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The address is 1111 St. Joseph Pkwy, Houston, Texas 77002. The start line is at the intersection of San Jacinto and Jefferson.
Q. When is Steps for Students?
The 15th annual race is on February 15, 2020. Mass will be held in the Co-Cathedral at 6:30 am. All runners should begin lining up according to pace group immediately following Mass. The timed 5K race will start promptly at 8:00 am. The untimed 5K and 1 mile run/walk will start at 8:10 am.
