From The Desk of Mr. Anderson...
It is that time of year again where we begin to turn our focus to the fall and being planning for new students, especially new kindergarten students! We will be sending out information very soon for all prospective kindergarten parents for the 2018-2019 school year. If you know someone that may have a kindergarten student next fall, we ask that you share that information with them, especially if they are new to the community and may not be aware that the information is out there. We thank you in advance for helping us out with that!
FAST testing has begun for Reading this week. We will pass along your student's information when we have all students screened and all scores have been reviewed. Conferences will be coming up at the end of the month. I look forward to seeing you throughout the month and at conferences in a few weeks. Spring Break will be here before you know it!
As January has come and gone and we enter February, the area around our playground has become fairly muddy. Be advised that there may come a time where your student might collect a little bit of that mud. We do our best to prevent students from getting into it, but it doesn't always work out. As winter continues, if you happen to stop by the building, please check the lost and found for various student items.
It will be interesting to see how things look around here when construction starts on the new additions to Morris. We are currently in the design phase and are looking at renderings and items for the academic wing and the new gymnasium. I look forward to sharing information when it becomes available! Until then, hang in there for rest of winter! The days ARE getting getting longer with sunlight!
Yours In Education,
Mr. Anderson
