We Made It!

Well, sort more month and then we'll wrap up an awesome year. It's been a great one, with your incredible kids and their awesome families. I just want to tell everyone thank you for all of the support and friendship, and also thank you for sharing your preschoolers with me. I love every single one of them, and it's hard to imagine (as it is every year!) that I won't be seeing the ones heading off to kindergarten as much anymore.

We're not done yet, though. We use the last month as an excuse to live it up a bit. We'll be doing some bigger projects, playing some more elaborate games, and loosening up our schedule just a bit to allow the preschoolers more time to play and create. The older kids will be introduced to some harder concepts, with a focus on partner and group work. The younger preschoolers are going to be pushed a little bit with their attending to task skills and multi step directions. We'll still pack in a little work in between all of our partying :)

End Of Year Preschool Party

Thursday, May 26th, 6:30pm

2400 South Stoddard Road

Meridian, ID

Bring the whole family for a low key evening at the park to celebrate the end of our preschool year. We'll be meeting under the shelter, and at 6:45 we'll have short program, with the preschoolers singing a few favorite songs, followed by some treats for everyone. Hang out and visit afterwards as the kids play. It will be a nice way to finish up a wonderful preschool year.

Last Day Of School Pajama Party

Turns out we just like parties. Our last days, (May 26th and 27th) here at preschool we'll have a pajama party. I know what you're thinking...again? Yep. We took a vote and it was far and away the most requested activity. Go figure! Send the preschoolers in pajamas (or not- whatever they want). We'll have some fun games, make ourselves a breakfasty snack, probably drag out the bounce house, build a blanket fort, and put on a movie that no one will watch :) Pillows and blankets are encouraged!

2016-2017 Preschool Year

We'll be back at it in September! If your preschooler, a sibling, or a preschooler will be joining us hopefully you've already let me know! If not, I do have a few spots left in my T/TH class. If you haven't had a chance yet, please make a note to get me your registration fee ($55) for next year, and to let me know if there are any changes I need to make to your preschooler's registration form. I'll be sending out open house invites and more preschool information to you mid summer.

Let's Play Music

My very musical friend was raving about the music class she had enrolled her kindergartner in, and I was excited to find out that the mom of one of my preschoolers who's signed up for next year was a teacher. On Thursday and Friday last week she came and did a music class for both preschools, and they loved every minute of it! Heather brought a ton of instruments, games and activities, and had all the preschoolers completely engaged the entire time. What I was most impressed with, though, was the solid music theory that was embedded in every activity taught in a very developmentally appropriate way. I could go on and on about the virtues of music lessons for kids, and many people wonder when the right time to start their child on that path, and perhaps what instrument would be best for them. Lets Play Music is a wonderful way to introduce your child to music, and their curriculum does it better than I've ever seen it done. (Wow. I totally sound like a paid advertisement, don't I? I swear, I get no kick backs. It was just that good. Check out some of our pictures of our class below! )
