Mill Creek Mural Project

Mill Creek East students are helping with the Mill Creek Mural Project being painted in Clayton. The students met with artist, Holly Sims, to help develop a plan/idea for the mural in March. On May 2nd, all of the East elementary students walked to the mural and were able to paint part of it. It will take Holly about 2 weeks to complete the mural. We can't wait to see it and love that we were all a part of designing and painting it!

Congratulations Math Bowl Team

Congratulations to MCE Math Bowl team who finished 2nd place in their division and in 9th place overall in the state! Way to go Eagles!

Grandparent's Night at MCE

MCE invited our grandparents and special people to visit our school in April. We have a fabulous turn out. It's fun to show off your classroom and school. And, our book fair was open.

Mill Creek East Celebrates Earth Day!

All of our student's celebrated Earth Day at MCE. We learned about the importance of recycling, the awesome things we can find outdoors, and did some planting. Then, on Saturday, our student council led a school grounds clean up day! We love Mother Earth at MCE!

Artist Steve Harpster Visits East

The students spent time with Steve Harpster or Harptoons Drawing in April. They were able to draw along with him. All of the drawings began with a letter or a number. We made monsters, animals, and much more! Mr. Harpster shared with the students drawings he did in elementary school and how he followed his dream of becoming an artist. We had a great time!
