A Message from Principal Coley
YAY to us, we completed the First Quarter and comfort with the Distance Learning experience seems to be evolving!
To ensure that students thrive academically, please continue to stress the importance for them to share their screens and to serve as active participants in ALL classes!
Please continue to review information the below related to Monitoring Mondays If your child experiences difficulty with accessing technology, please share communication with his/her teacher on the day that it is experienced. This way, the teacher can provide assistance and a resolve can be determined instead of the problem persisting for a number of days. Please see the flyer below related to technical assistance days being provided on the First Wednesday of every month at the schoolhouse. The goal is for students to engage in instruction daily.
I pray that you have a a Blessed Thanksgiving spent with family, while prioritizing the importance to practice COVID safety measures. As a reminder, school will be closed November 25 - 27, 2020. If your family is in need of food resources, please email me at: Jessica.Coley@pgcps.org so that support can be provided.
If you have any questions about information shared, please do not hesitate to ask. Have an Amazing Week on Purpose!

Monitoring Mondays
Monitoring Mondays is an initiative designed to support continued partnership between parents and teachers, as they work together to monitor student attendance and academic progress. Utilizing the Family Portal, parents will be able monitor student attendance and grades every Monday, after 12 Noon. Following, parents are to review student completion of graded assignments and overall attendance. If concerns arise, parents should contact their child's teacher. Together is Better and we are certain that through a shared commitment, student achievement will flourish. The flyer below will be shared with families every Monday, via Class Dojo. If you need help accessing the Family Portal, please send an email to Mrs. Cox, Administrative Assistant at: Kim.Cox@pgcps.org.

Technology Support
Teachers are not able to give technical support for students during the instructional day. But good news - the district is formulating a protocol so that students can receive timely support when there are access issues. An update will be sent directly to you as soon as they are finalized.
Until then, if you continue to need assistance with your device, please contact the Parent Support Center closest to you or schedule an appointment to receive support on the first Wednesday of every month. Remember, if your child is having a technical issue you MUST email the teacher the day of the incident.
