Message from the President
Thank you to all of our families who came out to support the school at the California Pizza Kitchen fundraiser. Thanks to your willingness to participate - and your appetites - we raised $850 for the PTO! Children were given a sticker by the restaurant to be used as their dress down pass for Monday the 8th. If you did not receive a sticker, a copy of your sales receipt will be accepted.

SAVE THE DATE: The STM Annual Spring Auction will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Belle Haven Country Club.
Preparations are already underway, and, as always, we welcome your wholehearted support. Naturally, we’d love to have everyone who has a child, grandchild, or even just a an interest in the overall well-being of our school, to come, have fun, and enjoy themselves to the fullest! In addition, there are also many jobs and roles available -- big or small -- for anyone who might enjoy an opportunity to volunteer to help make this great event a complete success!!!

Whether you are able to lend your time and services or not, however, we do hope you will make plans to join your friends and the whole STM community as participants in this most festive annual occasion. The PTO always does an outstanding job in putting this whole event together, so it promises to be a really great night – and for a really great cause – our school, our community and our kids!

The STM-PTO requests each family to volunteer 20 hours per school year in a wide variety of activities. We know some families are not able to do so and we offer an alternate of paying $300 for the school year instead. Each family is responsible for submitting their hours in the electronic Volunteer Service Hour Log Book via the STM webpage, or by clicking the button below.
In order to be a volunteer within the school (pizza lunch, classroom helper, room parent) or for roles such as scout leader, sports coach, field trip chaperone, etc., you must be VIRTUS Trained. All hopeful volunteers must attend a "Protecting God's Children" session, and then fill out the appropriate background check/paperwork - available via the STM School office. Once the office has record of your session attendance, and the paperwork has been received, you are granted the ability to volunteer in the school. Family-based events (such as the International Festival, Breakfast with Santa and Hot Dog Bash) do not require Virtus Trained volunteers, as the children's parents are onsite. Questions?
