From the Principal's Desk

March has started off with a breeze in the air and warmer weather. We are definitely ready for it at GBE! First off, I wanted to thank our parents that were able to attend our Parent Night last week. We were able to share out learning games and resources to parents for Math and Reading. As always, our PTO was supportive in this event, and purchased door prizes for those that attended and won the luck of the draw, at the end of the night. I also would like to give a special thanks to Moberly Motors for the donation of Car Lover's' Goodie Basket that included an oil change. We are blessed to be supported by our community and parents!

We are gearing up for several events this next month including Parent Teacher Conferences and Spring Break. I have included the dates and times at the bottom of this newsletter for you to detach and keep as a reminder. We encourage all of our Parents to please attend Spring Conferences to partner with us in your child's educational journey.

Thank you for your support,

Angie Doss

Major Saver

The Moberly Public Schools Foundation discount card sales program benefits schools and patrons alike. The schools, in conjunction with Major Saver, work with businesses throughout the district to offer a $15 discount card providing the customer with 20 local buy-one-get-one-free offers. In most cases, redeeming only two offers offsets the cost of the card. Proceeds from the card campaign go to the participating schools.

Discount card sales occur in Moberly schools starting Thursday, March 1st thru Tuesday, March 13th.

Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online at www.majorsaver.com. The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer.

Major Saver is excited to roll out a new feature this year making online sales easier for friends and family! On our homepage you are able to enter your student’s information to create a CUSTOM LINK for your child that can be shared via social media or email. This link will automatically credit the online sale to your student when friends and family use the link to make their purchase!

Major Saver cards can also be purchased, and credited to a student, through the Major Saver App. Once the free app is downloaded to an Android or iOS device, buyers can choose a Major Saver card through the “buy cards” tab on the app. Once the buyer completes the transaction the offers will be stored in the Major Saver App. Buyers can then redeem offers directly from the app and do not need a physical card.

Save the Date:

Feel free to detach the bottom portion of this newsletter to keep on the fridge as reminder to all of the events we have coming up this school year. Others will be added as the year progresses, but these are the events already set on the calendar at this time.
