Dr. Rachel Williams, Principal
From the Principal
Dear Parents,
What a week we have had here at CCES. In four years, this may be one of the most difficult weeks I remember experiencing. I want to thank everyone for supporting our school and students no matter the circumstance. This week is just another affirmation we live and work in a great place.
I want to express gratitude to everyone for being so flexible with our Field Day rain plans. Regardless of the weather, our students had FUN! I am pretty sure they came home to you very tired. Special thanks to all of the parents who were able to volunteer in any capacity. No matter the job, big or small, your helping hands are always welcome here at CCES.
The highlight of our week was being able to celebrate you all as volunteers. We can never thank you enough for the commitment you show to our students. Katie Bondi and Lynn Greene had the pleasure of decorating for this event and as always made it spectacular. We hope those of you who were able to attend enjoyed it.
Next week, we will hold two grade level class parties per day. We hope to see you there! Please enjoy pictures of all this week’s events posted here.

Partnership with Milton Police
Our PTO and school administration have been working to set up a partnership between the Milton Police Department and our school. We will be providing coffee, light snacks, and a space for our officers to enjoy a little down time while they are on duty on our campus. This will help to increase their presence and familiarity of our campus. Most importantly, it will help our students and families to feel safer and to develop relationships with our police officers. If you attended Field Day yesterday, you may have met Officer Chad West while playing musical chairs. We are excited to embrace community policing.
Keep your child engaged in summer reading
Looking for ways to keep your student engaged with reading all summer? Then, attend one of our Parent Coffees on May 21st at 9am or May 22nd at 10am. Jessica Jackson (media specialist) and Sarah Jones (literacy coach) will host, as well as a librarian from the Milton Library. We will meet in the media center. Hope to see many of you there!
