PE update
As the weather continues to improve we will take every opportunity to take students outdoors for their PE lessons. We also will have periods of time where the gym is in use due to Secondary School examinations and so we will be unable to access this. Therefore we will use the playground for some lessons and on other occasions we will take students to Nordbanhof park.
In light of this, please can I ask that all students come to school in PE clothes on the day when they have PE and to bring a jacket or sweater and a hat. If students want to bring a change of T-shirt they may do so and change before they return to class.

Learning Instructional Writing in Grade 1b!
Grade 1b had lots of fun learning the importance of writing clear instructions through making sandwiches! They practiced writing instructions on ´How to Make a Sandwich´ and then tested these by actually making their sandwiches to see how accurate their instructions were. Of course, at the end they also ate their sandwiches too!

BIOPHILIA
The Biophilia Educational Project seeks to activate and engage childrens’ creative faculties in learning about music, nature, and science via new technologies. The program takes its inspiration from Björk’s Biophilia app suite of music and interactive, educational artifacts. Up to this point in time, the project has primarily been aimed for children between the ages of 10-12.
Students learn through hands-on participation, composition, and collaboration. Participants acquire the skills to develop their musical imagination, and to make music in a spontaneous and responsive way, inspired by structures and phenomena in the natural world.
Each app has its own theme - in connection with a corresponding song - and combines natural elements with a musical score. The layers of content in each feature include: an interactive game based on the song’s scientific and musical subject matter; an animation of the song; an animated score; lyrics, and an academic essay.
Join us in order to listen, learn, and create!
Project selection begins Friday evening, April 24th, 2015 at 6.00 pm and runs until Tuesday 28th 2015.
Please bear in mind that selection is processed on a first come, first serve basis.
