Happy Summer!
Just some final thoughts as we close up a year like no other...
~ Thank you for making the Reverse Parade such a special event. I laughed, I cried, I found joy in seeing all the reasons why I love my job...ALL of YOU, especially the students. Thank you for the joy and positive energy you brought to that moment.
~ Summer 2020 Reading Challenge: Here is an AWESOME list of summer reading challenges, including the Summer MyOn Reading Challenge, which we've done now for a number of years. The top reader will win a Kindle Fire, courtesy of the Roosevelt PTO.
~ Optional Resources for Parents: I'd be remiss if I didn't share resources that could be used in your home to talk about the current events of our world. As a mom and as a lifelong educator, I have learned the importance of talking about hard things. In my experience, NOT talking about something difficult is most definitely not the answer. As a school community, we support and value all of our students and actively seek to understand how to best do this for each one of them! Please consider using these resources to help guide conversations that will likely surface in your home, if they haven't already.

Have a special summer connecting with your family! Can't wait to see everyone in the fall!
Stay safe and stay strong, Raccoons!
