Memorial Day Parade Info
Naperville Memorial Day Parade
Memorial Day is fast approaching and we wanted to give you a bit of info about the after school practice schedule and the parade.
The Granger Middle School Bands are proud to participate in the City of Naperville and City of Aurora parades on an every other year rotating basis. All students in our band program 6th – 8th grade are asked to participate in the parade. By having everyone in the program participate, students’ gain a feeling of belonging and it is our way of giving back to our community.
Memorial Day is a day that was set aside to honor those that lost lives in battle and our veterans. Students are taught about the meaning of Memorial Day and learn that our participation in the parade is a minor sacrifice compared to those who gave us so much. This is always a meaningful and fun event for all of our students. We have already started preparation for this year’s parade and we wanted to give you some advanced notice about the practice schedule. Please contact Mr. Dyhouse or Mr. Pakkebier with any scheduling conflicts.
Drop off is at 7:45 a.m. at Granger and the estimate for pick up is between Noon -12:30 p.m.
Parent Volunteers are needed!!
Once we know our placement number in the parade, we will place it here.
