Broad Meadows Middle School Community Update 10.22.2023
Broad Meadows Middle School Community,
We want to thank the Boston Celtics and Arbella for sponsoring the All-Star Program for our students. Our entire school travelled to North Quincy High School on Friday morning, took part in a wonderful kick-off event and learned all about taking "The Pledge" to try for perfect attendance for the year. Beginning with the month of November, students will have the opportunity to win Celtics themed prizes each month that they have perfect attendance. Students who have perfect attendance from November to May will also be invited to the year end Celtics Party at Veterans Memorial Stadium in May.
We also want to remind our families that interim grade posting will be ongoing this week. Interim grades will be available for families on ASPEN later in the day on Friday, October 27, 2023. Trimester 1 grades will close in early December. Please feel free to reach out to the main office during school hours if we can assist with an ASPEN password reset.
Although we are proud of the hard work of our students each and every day, this week we specifically want to highlight all those students who participated in our Cross Country City Championship as well as our Drama Auditions. We were so proud of all of our BMMS Cross Country runners as well as all those students who worked hard and had the courage to audition for our BMMS musical. Nice work!
Looking ahead, please keep in mind that this week will be an early release day on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Wednesday is also the last day to order school pictures online through the Hayward Photography site which can be found by clicking here. Please use the code BMMS23 when ordering.
Finally as we look to the start of November, please note that school will not be in session on Tuesday, November 7th due to Election Day and Friday, November 10th due to the observance of Veteran's Day.
Thank you always for your support and have a wonderful Sunday!

Chromebooks
At this point, all students in grades 6-8 should have a school assigned Chromebook. To support us at school we ask that you work with your student to find a place where they can charge their Chromebook every evening so that it is ready to use every morning. Students should bring their Chromebook to school each day.
If a Chromebook breaks we would ask your student to return it to the main office and we will provide your student a replacement. If a Chromebook is lost, please work with your student to locate it. If it is not found, families may incur the charge of a replacement Chromebook per the user agreement. Please feel free to reach out to the main office during school hours if we can support you with this process.
