The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming Back to Brookwood!
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the BES Media Center for digital and in-person students February 17 - 26, 2021! Digital students may come 11:30 am - 1:00 pm daily while in-person students will visit the book fair with their class during school hours.
- Preview Days – Feb. 17-22
- Purchase Days – Feb. 23-26

Middle School Transition Information and Updates
Crews Middle School
Band Information Sessions for Crews Middle School Rising 6th Graders
Any rising 6th-grade students interested in joining the Crews Band program are invited to join the Crews Middle School Band Directors for a Virtual Band Information Session!
The info sessions will be hosted on Zoom on the following dates (they will all be the same/similar, so just pick one that works for you). All meetings will also be recorded in case you cannot attend live:
- Tuesday, February 23 @ 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, March 9 @ 5:00 PM
Please REGISTER NOW. This will register you for the meeting of your choice AND send you the Zoom link for the correct meeting.
During the information sessions, you will have a chance to meet the band directors, learn about instrument options and selection for next year, hear and see the instruments, and ask any questions. All meetings are open to students AND parents, and we encourage you to attend at least one info session. Also, feel free to share the attached flyer with any rising 6th grade parents/students you know who will be attending Crews next year!

Orchestra Information Sessions for Crews Middle School Rising 6th Graders
- Tuesday, March 2nd: Crews Orchestra Zoom with the orchestra teachers, and meet a few current orchestra parents and students for Q&A. Time TBD. Please register now.
- Tuesday, March 16th: Instrument petting zoo for those that missed us in January. We will be in the Crews Middle School bus lanes from 2-4pm and 5-7pm that day. Contactless and safe. Map is attached. Free T-shirts and polaroid picture. No prior registration required.
Tapestry Art Show
Join Brookwood Elementary's Team for Run the Reagan!
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in our local community, Run the Reagan will hold a virtual race March 20th thru March 31st. Run the Reagan's road race helps to support the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry, Lilburn Co-op, and the Brookwood Schools Foundation.
By registering and joining our school team, Brookwood Elementary will earn $5 back for each person signing up at the following link: Join the Brookwood Elementary School Run the Reagan team.
UPDATE TO BIRTHDAY TREATS Policy
If you would like to celebrate your in-person student's birthday at school, you now have two ways to do this:
- Send in individually PREPACKAGED treats 24 hours in advance. The treat will be distributed to the class the following day.
- Send in money to purchase ice cream for the class! Ice cream costs $1 each and is an easy way to celebrate birthdays.
Please contact your student's teacher if you have any questions.

Brookwood Lacrosse Association Registration
Brookwood Lacrosse Association’s registration for 2021 spring season is OPEN on broncolax.com. Students from K – 8th grade may register. Spring practices start the week of January 25 and games begin second weekend of February until the beginning of May.
