Weekly Spotlight On MPHS!

Dr. B's Weekly Update: 3/23/2018

First day of Spring? Really??

The first day of Spring was unexpected this year - both for mother nature and for MPHS! With the two mid-week snow days, we have moved the end of the marking period to Wednesday, April 4th. Online report cards will be available on Monday, April 9th for parents to view. In spite of the missed days, many teachers were still able to complete 3rd marking period testing; however, please consult Canvas for your child's specific situation. Many students may return from spring break with benchmark testing planned, so be sure they spend some of their time away preparing for those exams.

MPHS Introduces Health Sciences for 2018-2019!

The MPHS Medical Club (affiliated with the national organization, HOSA) has grown from 6 members to over 75 members (from an applicant pool of 200) in just three years! With that level of interest in health sciences, we have spent this year working with Nurse Pollack to design the first phase of our Health Sciences Direction here at MPHS. Nurse Pollack received her official Provision Teaching License from VDOE this week, and we are SO EXCITED to add her to our faculty for next school year! See the digital catalog for more information about the courses she'll be teaching!
