Harriet Tubman's birth name was Araminta Ross. She had 10 other siblings. Harriet Tubman was determined to gain her freedom. Harriet Tubman was born into slavery. One day, Harriet's slave owner told her to get another slave so he can whip him, when she got him, he ran away so the slave owner threw a weight and accidentally hit Harriet In the head. She got deep scars and had seizures the rest of her life. Then, Harriet escaped slavery

Fight For freedom

Harriet was against slavery because she was a slave herself. Also, she helped slaves escape through the underground railroad. She saved 300+ slaves. She fled slavery and left her family. She also served as a spy and nurse during the Civil War. She often said "mah people mus' go free." She went to the south at least 19 times to lead her family and hundreds to freedom via the underground railroad.

Harriet Tubman had many major accomplishments . For example, she led 300 slaves to freedom using the underground railroad. She was the leader of the abolitionist

movement. She fled to Philadelphia and saved her sister and her family . Harriet helped in the civil war being a nurse and a scout. Harriet also had the " Methodist episcopal zion church" named after her.
