Dear MTE families,

Wow! Whew! And 'Where did the year go?"

I find it hard to believe we are entering the last week of the school year!

This has been an amazing year of getting back to "normal" and rebooting all our traditions and creating new ones! Sarah Olson said it so well in her PTO message, I echo all her gratitude for our families and volunteers! Truly, "THANK YOU!" Our MTE community showed up and made this year an absolutely incredible year. We thank you for the love, support, and involvement you provide our students and staff.

A special thank you to Sarah Olson and our PTO Exec Board for leading the community and getting everyone back into the building. Sarah, your humongous heart and "can-do, will-do" spirit has made a lasting positive impact on our school family! Thank you so much on behalf of all of us at MTE!

As we get ready to close the year, I thank our amazing staff for making every day a "great day to be a bulldog" despite the sub shortages and staffing shortages! Our students have had a wonderful year of learning.

It is an honor to be the principal of Mission Trail! It brings me such joy!

Thank you for sharing your children with me and letting us be a part of their journey.

This will be my last email of this school year.

I will send a "save the date" email in early June so you can plan the August return to school.

I hope you have a summer filled with joy and making memories with your kiddos!

End of Quarter Information - Viewing Canvas Courses and Fourth Quarter Grades

At the end of each quarter, courses in Canvas will conclude and will no longer be visible on the Canvas app and website. Courses for this year’s fourth quarter will conclude on May 25th. Report cards will be generated and families will be able to view second quarter grades on ParentVUE at the end of the day on June 1, 2023.

Select your elementary student’s name
In the left navigation bar, choose REPORT CARD

If you have questions about Standards Based Grading as you view your child’s report card, please review the information found on the Elementary Report Card resource page.

Each new quarter, classroom teachers will publish their next quarter Canvas course. As courses are published, students and families will again be able to see current courses on the Canvas app and Canvas website. For Canvas parent resources, visit www.bluevalleyk12.org/canvas.

This year the PTO has partnered with an excellent new company, 1st Day School Supplies, to help us easily (and more cheaply) get school supplies for next year. As always, the supplies will be conveniently delivered to your door before school begins in August.

Shipping is free this year! Orders are due before July 1.

Since this is not a fundraiser, families receive all of the savings. As always, there will be a few items, such as Kleenex, sanitizer, baggies etc., for you to purchase directly.
