Connecticut Guidelines for Leaving Your Child Alone
Deciding when your child is ready to stay home alone is a difficult decision for parents. There is no set age, either prescribed by law or by child development experts. Fortunately, there are some guidelines and certain factors to consider, as well as things to do if you decide to leave your children home alone. For resources and more information, click HERE!
βοΈ Happening In Our Classrooms...
The great Ancient Greek city-states of Athens, Sparta, Thebes, and Corinth were celebrated by grade six social studies students this week during the Greek Olympics. Special thanks to our P.E. teacher Ms. Reidy who organized events such as a team relay, discus, shot put, and 'chariot' races!
Our middle school students enjoyed the final dance of the year at last Friday's Semi Formal! ππΊ Thank you SO MUCH to Sarah Wiggins πΈ for capturing the excitement!

πΊπΈ President's Award Ceremony
Founded in 1983, the President's Education Awards Program (PEAP) honors graduating elementary, middle and high school students for their achievement and hard work. The program has provided individual recognition from the President and the U.S. Secretary of Education to those students whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence. Each year, thousands of elementary, middle, and high schools participate by recognizing deserving students.
Congratulations to Sally Hafer, Eliana Ostrosky, Audrey Wiggins, and Casey Witt on receiving the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence and Achievement! Thank you to Senator Stephen Harding, State Representative Patrick Callahan, and First Selectman Don Lowe for presenting each student with their award.
