Athey Notes
Week 23
Welcome to Week 23
Dear Athey Community,
February is Kindness Month and specifically Feb 13th to 17th is Random Acts of Kindness week. During this week the idea is that every small act of kindness is significant and will not only brighten someone's day but add up to create a domino effect of increased kindness and uplifted spirits. Whether it's a cheerful greeting, a high five, a compliment, showing compassion, saying thank you, helping someone with their locker, there are so many ways we can show kindness to each other in school. If we all take a moment this week to appreciate everything what we bring to our community then by Friday afternoon we should all leave with a lighter step and a smile on our faces!
This week we will find lots of ways to brighten each others' days. Our leadership team has already started with decorating Athey's front entrances as well as they've hung cheerful posters throughout the school. On Tuesday, students will deliver the candygrams they bought last week during 6th period. The We Care Club is making sure every student receives one! And we will end our week with an assembly on Friday with a few fun activities and Student Vs Staff basketball game!
We encourage you to join us in our kindness campaign! Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Joel Sebastian
Athey Creek Middle School Principal
