Meetings and Announcements

The "Tualatin's Got Talent" Talent Show is cancelled for tonight. It will be rescheduled at a later date, TBD.


THE "ABBY'S CLOSET PROM DRESS GIVEAWAY" HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THIS WEEKEND.

The Portland Division of the FBI is accepting applications for their summer 2020 Teen Academy. This summer program is free and provides information on crimology, polygraph exams, terrorism, cyber crime and SWAT. Applications are due May 15th and are available from the College and Career Center or on Naviance.


Are you Interested in a summer job as a Wildland Firefighter? Students who will be 19 by the summer can enroll in a Wildland Fire Fighting Course held at Clackamas Community College on Saturdays starting April 4th. More information is available in the College and Career Center.

The Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is doing a survey!

This is a survey to find out what students already know or would like to know about the School Based Health Center. It is totally anonymous and only take a few minutes!

SCRIP News

Congratulations to our scrip app drawing winner, Krista Rodriguez who won a $25 Target gift card.

Scrip with Benefit is Digital Gift Cards and Physical Gift Cards.

1. Physical gift cards upcoming order dates: 3/16, 4/6, 4/20. Remember to order for your Spring Break needs on 3/16. Orders are due to the bookkeeper by 10am on Monday. Receive it back on Thursday afternoon. Order forms available on the website https://www.ttsdschools.org/Page/9029 or hard copies in the office.

2. Digital gift cards - It’s so easy! Buy a digital gift card thru the app for exact amount of purchase at checkout and cashier will enter the card number or scan phone for payment. Your money grows for TuHS programs at no additional cost to you. Download the free app for iPhone or Android: Online Fundraising While You Shop: Mobile Fundraising App | Benefit. Select Tualatin High School, select TSO, then enter a scrip category with your student name (scrip categories are listed on the school website, under the parents tab, to the scrip tab under forms). Set up banking info linked to a bank account or credit card. It may take a day or two to be verified. App will let you know how much your purchases earn and keep a running total. 75% of profits shown go to your scrip category of choice and 25% to the TSO.

App tips: retailers have a minimum and a maximum amount that can be purchased. Anything in between the amount may be purchased. Few retailers require a print out of the gift card. Each retailer states how to redeem: redeem online or show phone to cashier or redeem with printed email only. Your money grows thru your everyday shopping. Purchase digital and/or physical gift cards with Benefit!

Our next meeting is Tue. April 14th at 7 p.m. in TuHS library. Volunteers are still needed for key committee chairs including Auction, Publicity and for committee members for the grad night. There are also lots of other ways to be involved. Contact Connie Brown, connie.m.brown@intel.com if you are interested in learning more or want to help out. TSO supports academics, arts, activities and athletics. We are the only group at TuHS that fundraises for academics and last school year we provided $24K in grants to TuHS. Come join us!

2020 Grad Night Committee needs Volunteers and Sponsors!

Next Grad Nite Committee meeting - Thursday, April 2nd, 7pm, in the TuHS Library- Please join us!


We are also looking for sponsors for the Fun and Safe Grad Night Party for the Class of 2020.

Graduating Seniors will be bused directly from the graduation ceremony to s surprise location where they will enjoy dozens of games, activities, and prizes- all in a an alcohol and drug -free environment.
