Local Foods at Universities is not easy! Your efforts to support your students and your university in coming up with and implementing innovative solutions to increase healthy food access, to support sustainable communities, and to create viable economic opportunities for local farmers is commendable....even when the progress feels slow.
The NC 10% Campaign hopes that the Local Food Ambassador Program can continue to support your efforts....but we know there is room for improvement. Please take a few moments to give us your feedback, suggestions, and constructive criticism. This will help the Campaign better support your work!

Successful Events Season!
Congratulations to all the LFA universities on their successful Earth Day events! Big thanks to all the team members that supported the LFA students in their recent local foods efforts! It was a lot of work but great for everyone to see the momentum for local, healthy food options on their campuses! Please email photos to Emma at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Call for 2016-2017 LFA students!
We need your help in getting the word out to students about the LFA program application. Please share this flyer on your SM and flyer boards or share the post from the NC 10% FB page. Applications are due May 6th (next Friday). Once we receive all of the applications, we will be in touch with each team regarding top candidates.
UNC-CH Signs Real Food Commitment!
On April 26, 2016, UNC-Chapel Hill is the first UNC System school to sign the Real Food Commitment. With the NC 10% Campaign's recently awarded Z Smith Reynolds funding, UNC-CH will be one of the networking schools for the LFA program next year. We can't wait until one of our 6 LFA schools is able to be the first Minority-Serving Institution/HBCU to write policy that ensures local and sustainable foods on campus for future generations!
