Strength Training
Strength training is important for overall fitness. Strength training helps you develop strong muscles, control your weight, boost your stamina, manage chronic conditions, and sharpen your focus.
How to increase muscluar endurance
Muscle endurance is the ability to perform repeated contractions until local muscular fatigue prevents further contractions.Muscle endurance can be improved by engaging in cardiovascular activity, for instance, running. Muscle endurance is also increased by progressively overloading muscles. For example, weight lifting can help you increase your muscular endurance.
Muscle Contractions
In the process you may come across muscle contractions. Three basic types of muscular contraction are Isometric, Isotonic and Isokinetic. Isometric means that the muscle changes tension without changing length. Isotonic means the exact same tension. Isokinetic means the speed of the muscle contraction stays constant.
Muscle Training
Exercise benefits all tissues in your body, including your heart, blood vessels, muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons, immune system, intestines, liver, pancreas and brain.Muscle is capable of burning multiple fuels during exercise, including glucose (from carbohydrates), fatty acids (from fat) and amino acids (from protein). Strength training is an anaerobic exercise--meaning that while the exercise is being performed, the primary source of fuel for the muscles involved is glucose (sugar). Glucose is stored within each muscle cell as glycogen. Glycogen is a quick-burning fuel used during high intensity exercise.
