TUSD Robotics

2017-2018 Season: Issue 1

A New Robotics Season is Upon Us!

Welcome back to the fourth year of the TUSD Robotics program. We have two exciting games that will played this season. Take a look at the videos below to learn about the elementary VEX IQ game "Ringmaster" and secondary VEX game "In the Zone".

TUSD Robotics will be hosting 5 official tournaments this year as well as the Robot Olympics. For more information about the tournaments, go to tusdrobotics.com.

Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed to help provide a good tournament experience for our students and the many other teams that are coming to play in our tournaments.

Please consider volunteering to help with set up, break down, judging, refereeing, or any other position you might be able to help.

2017 Poway Days Robot Rodeo

Beckman and Foothill High Schools both competed in an outside tournament in San Diego on Saturday, September 9th. They learned a lot about the new rules for the season and did a great job representing TUSD Robotics.

Beckman Team 2496V took home both the Excellence and Tournament Skills Awards. They scored 100 points in driving skills and 20 points in autonomous programming skills for a total of 120 points. This score was 40 points above the 2nd place team!

Congratulations to all the teams who had a robot ready to compete so early in the season! And a special congratulations to Beckman Team V pictured below. Way to kick-off the season!
