A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
During the morning announcements this December, our students learned the meaning of each gift mentioned in The Twelve Days of Christmas. Legend says the song was written as a secret code to teach children the Catholic Church's catechism in the 1500s when it was illegal to practice Catholicism in England.
"My true love" is God.
"A partridge in a pear tree" is Jesus on the cross.
"2 turtle doves" are the Old and New Testaments.
"3 French Hens" are the virtues of faith, hope, and charity.
"4 calling birds" are the Gospels.
"5 golden rings" are the first 5 books of the Bible.
"6 geese a-laying" are the 6 days of creation.
"7 swans a-swimming" are the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
"8 maids a-milking" are the Beatitudes.
"9 ladies dancing" are the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
"10 lords a-leaping" are the 10 Commandments.
"11 pipers piping" are the 11 faithful Apostles.
"12 drummers drumming" are the 12 beliefs in the Apostles Creed.
Grace and Peace,
Mrs. Hibler
Merry Christmas and remember to keep our Savior's birth at the forefront of all we do.

A Christmas Poem
please don't forget what is the real reason
for parties, celebrations, good times, and cheer
and time spent with loved ones you hold so dear.
While always more time you are trying to find
to complete extra tasks of the holiday kind,
take one moment out of each busy day
to remember it's all about Jesuus'birthday.
And when celebrate that important day
start it with"thank you" and happy birthday"
to your Lord, your Savior, your very best friend
for His goodness and merch, which will never end.
Christmas trees, lights and presents may please us
but always remember, the real joy comes from Jesus.
