Congratulations to Howell senior and boys basketball player Patrick Schulte on recently being invited to particpate in the U.S. National Soccer team camp. U.S. Soccer announced the U.S. U-18 Men’s National Team roster for the upcoming training camp to be held at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California from February 1-7, 2019 which sees STLFC goalkeeper Patrick Schulte named to the 20-man roster.
The training camp serves as an opportunity for the players selected to work with U.S. U-18 MNT coach Tab Ramos as he prepares his plans for the upcoming 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland. This is the first time that Schulte has been called for a USMNT camp after spending the last four years in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy program with St. Louis Scott Gallagher and Saint Louis FC. He has made eight appearances for the STLFC Academy U-19 team this season after playing in 23 games last year between the U-19 and U-17 teams. Schulte recently signed an Academy contract with the Saint Louis FC first-team for the upcoming 2019 USL Championships season and he will join St. Louis University in the fall. (stlfc.com)
