Pink Chip Day
TCCHS and Barberitos have teamed up to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. Pink Chip Day is October 26th (next Thursday) all day at Barbs and 10% of all proceeds from that day will go towards local cancer patients.
We (TCCHS) pre-sold 200 shirts! If you ordered a shirt, please wear it next Thursday. You will be allowed to wear jeans with your shirt!
If you did NOT purchase a shirt, you will still be allowed to wear jeans with a $10 donation and preferably something pink as well.
Thanks for your help and for caring about those battling this awful disease.

Yellow Jacket Travels
Ms. Kelly Arno has organized two overseas trips for our students. The upcoming trip is to England, Ireland, and Wales. A group of 20 students will spend 9 days over spring break on a literary tour of several cities and famous sites, including the Cliffs of Moher (of Princess Bride fame), St. Patrick's cathedral, Shakespeare's birth place, and Platform 9 3/4. Ms. Wendy Luke, Ms. Evie Stewart and Ms. Arno will travel as chaperones.
The most recently advertised trip will take place during the summer of 2019. Seventeen students have signed up for the Splendors of the Mediterranean that will take them through a dozen cities across Italy and Greece over 15 days. This trip was advertised through our social studies classes and will focus on ancient history and geography, with stops at the Coliseum in Rome, the Vatican, Pompeii, the Meteora region, and the Acropolis.
A parent meeting for the trip will be held Tuesday.

Thomas Jefferson Field Trip
Many of our student will attend the Thomas Jefferson event on Tuesday, October 24, to be held at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium.
Students will travel by bus to the auditorium. The buses are scheduled to arrive at at 9:00 out front. They want everyone in and seated by 10:00, so buses should probably be rolling by 9:30. The program should last between 45-60 minutes.
