Author Pat Mora: Lifetime Achievement Award
About 20 lucky Liberty students got to see author, Pat Mora. She has written 2 poetry books for teens, and over 30 books for young readers. Pat Mora loves to include her family, the desert, and her Mexican American culture in her books. She says, "I write, in part, because Hispanic perspectives need to be part of our literary heritage..."

Battle of the Books team members and alternates celebrate after getting 3rd place in the PSJA Battle of the Books competition. Mr. Carrillo had a special celebration for their hard work and dedication. (Captain K. Iturrubiates was not present)
