165 Ways to get BOOKINGS
- Wear company logo wear to the gym when you work out
- Post a flyer on the inside of bathroom stalls
- Leave your card at local businesses
- Purchase magnetic business cards or a roll of magnetic tape to add to existing business cards. Hand these out to customers, prospects, or even affix them to random places with magnetic spaces
- Keep a portable party in your car, never know when it may come in handy to show your product to a prospect
- Keep a list of special requests and let those guest know when that product is on sale or is available
- Suggest hosting a party to complete Christmas shopping without leaving home
- Offer a booking bonus for hostesses who book on days or months you need and extra party
- Give extra service and time to good customers-they will be repeat hostesses and potential consultants
- Call at least two potential hostesses every night
- Carry a note pad to jot down names as you think of them
- Let guests keep a catalog or flyer, to keep on hand or pass around work

- Read sales, self improvement and positive thinking books for self confidence and to think “outside the box”
- Use your business cards as bookmarks in library books, include them with payments in your bills if applicable
- Put an ask me button on your purse or coat
- Advertise in your Alumni newsletter and or local newspaper
- Create a corporate gift program-a few products in 3 gift basket, 3 price ranges and suggest to corporations as a gifting option
- Print a voucher for a freebie or party gift on the back side of your business cards. Everyone loves a freebie! Make a plan to give out 3 business cards face to face every day, and get 3 cards in return
- Leave business cards on bulletin boards
- Leave catalogs at doctor offices, hospital waiting room, mechanic’s waiting room, dentist office laundromats, University campuses, day care center, library, veterinarian’s office, dry cleaner, local grocery store

- Have the hostess tell why she decided to host a show

- Don’t be shy talking about your products or your business
- Smile when talking on the phone
- Attend fairs, expos, food festivals as a guest and network with the vendors
- Check out ads (online and off) for those who offer daycare in their homes. A lot of home daycare providers are interested in Fundraisers!
- Start your own local TV show on Community Access TV or a YouTube Channel – or both!
- Hang posters on community bulletin boards
- Send a press release out once a month
- Change hair, nail, spa salons every time you go
- Hold a transition party when the catalog changes: open your products at the show
- Send a catalog to consultants of other companies you know or Exchange bookings
- Place a catalog in the teachers lounge at your child’s school
- Place a catalog in the employee lunch room
- Do video tape shows, instead of catalog shows
- Hold A WOW Party: Within One Week everyone knows what they are doing next week!
- Put up fish bowls/prize drawings at businesses
- Set goals and review them constantly on numbers of people to connect with. Post them where you can see them
- Use hostess benefits flyers
- Join a Chamber and take advantage of all the membership benefits
- Visit Chamber of Commerce networking events as a guest
- Attend a networking meeting
- Join in with consultants from other companies and hold an open house!
- Ask if you can put samples/catalogs in new mom bags that are frequently given in OB GYN offices
- Hold a special drawing or monthly drawings at a local hair salon/fitness club
- Be willing to share the business opportunity—- if you don’t someone else will
- Call anyone who has said “maybe” or “sometime”
- Advertise in football or musical programs
- Mention Hostess half price gifts and other benefits at least three times per party.
- Donate a basket to a local radio station to give-away during special promos (mother’s day).Get a book at the Chamber of Commerce for non-profit organizations
- Offer your services at the community center, Spanish center, etc.
- Trade home parties with other consultants in other companies
- Promote kids birthday parties (you are the entertainment)
- Help the girl/boy scouts get badges
- Do fundraiser shows in front of the grocery store
- Strike up conversations at McDonald’s play land, parks
- Soccer/sport tail gate parties
- Give out gift cards or contact info on Halloween with the candy
- Include contact information on the back of your holiday cards
- Run a weekly/monthly/quarterly prize drawing and invite people you meet out and about to join
- Carry little gift bags everywhere you go to hand out (always get contact info when you give a gift)
- Stop at every car wash/bake sale fund-raiser; buy something then ask about their cause
- Set up a table at your bank: many banks have a ‘highlight a local business table’ so start a campaign to inquire
- Have a contest with the guests at your show to see who can come up with the most names & numbers of people to try the product. The one with the most names wins a free gift. (Make sure to follow up on All names)
- Routinely perform “Out Of The Box” calls to check in, be sure they are using their items and offer use and care advice
- Put current catalog in your neighbor’s door…include a 10% off coupon or Gift Card
- Advertise in your church bulletin
- Host a show before or during a PTA Meeting
- Mail out catalogs and a wish list
- Host your own show. Could even be a fundraiser for your favorite charity
- Get a list from Welcome Wagon. New people may be looking for a consultant or a new job in this area.
- Offer your demo services at stores, gyms or other related businesses to provide value to them (food/nutrition)
- Take your product with you to events whenever possible
- Advertise in football or music programs, alumni newsletters
- Contact your local gym or YMCA and ask if they have a customer appreciation event you can set up at
- Take a recipe to every potluck and include your business card on the recipe

- Hold a Christmas Shopping Show for men (or for Mother’s Day)
- Offer a Christmas wish list to your guest and then call the gift giver and tell him what the guests wants
- Start an E-mail address book of customers who want to know what the monthly specials are; don’t forget to mention the hostess specials. If there isn’t one, create one!
- Have custom note cards made with your business info on the back (or use a service for sending cards that customizes them for your business)
- Move into new neighborhoods by offering a get to know the neighbor residential community show
- Offer “last week of school” teacher shows to celebrate all the teachers who have a birthday, baby shower or wedding over the Summer
- Offer entertainment workshops or fundraisers to apartment complexes
- Hold a customer appreciation New Year’s party or holiday party the last week or the first week of the year
- Ask the manager of apartment complexes or condo communities if you can distribute fliers

- Create a system of texting for bookings to one contact group per week – every week!
- Put an ad in your local paper or community bulletin merchant buy-sell-trade paper
- Offer retirement home or assisted living parties for holiday shopping
- Put your company name on your mail box
- Write “Ask Me For A Brochure” on one of your company logo bags, fill it with catalogs and take it everywhere you go
- Hold one plus 2 coffee break parties with 2 friends. (The host invites a friend and meets with you for 30 minutes.)
- Take one idea from this list of direct sales bookings ideas and implement a new 1 or 2 each week in a strategic action plan
- Carry small children’s gift (dollar store) with you, wrapped in simple tissue with a bow. Attach your gift card to the outside and offer to parents of crying children in your local store while shopping. They won’t forget you! You might even say, “Talk to me about a prepaid vacation for you and your family.”
