Attention Seniors and Parents: Local Scholarships
Each year, Elida High School has nearly 20 donors with local ties to Elida Local Schools provide scholarships totaling over $20,000 to seniors of EHS. Due to our early-ending school year in 2020-21, we will be rolling out these local scholarships on our SCHOLARSHIP PAGE on the school website beginning February 1st, and they will all have a strict deadline of March 8th. This is a great opportunity to earn money for college...don't pass it up! We would like to thank the donors for providing these opportunities each year in memory of a loved one or on behalf of their group.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: PAIGE TURNER
She graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor in Marketing/Communications and last year earned her teaching license in Library Media from Ohio State. She was born and raised in Fort Loramie and makes the commute from there each day.
As the District Media Specialist, Paige partners with teachers to find and utilize the best resources for their lessons and for the curriculum, on-line resources, books and A/V materials. She manages purchases for the libraries to be sure we provide the best materials to educate Elida students.
Paige tells us the best part of her job is getting in the classrooms, meeting with students and helping them locate resources for their studies and helping them utilize technology and promote safe online practices.
Her hobbies include reading (of course) running and home projects with her husband Kyle.
She is currently reading "The Wishing Well" which is a book from the Middle School catalog from the series "The Land of Stories." "My favorite books are actually fantasy /middle school level as they are always good, wholesome stories. I am pretty old school and prefer hard copies to digital, but I listen to Audible books during my commute to work."
Paige often reads books from the district catalogs so she is familiar and has first hand knowledge when helping students. She and her husband have two young boys, 4 year old Miles and 2 year old Samuel and a chihuahua named "Lucy." In a few weeks their family will grow as they are expecting a baby in March!
Paige and the district librarians are preparing for this year's Summer Reading Program. Look for more details as they become available.

New "Healthy Roster" App for H.S. Athletes
Healthy Roster will be utilized by your athletic trainer to document injury evaluations, treatments and rehab protocols. Along with this making medical documentation easier, Healthy Roster has a parent/guardian side where you can communicate with the athletic trainer and view certain portions of the documentation process to stay informed at all times.
Coaches will also have access to stay current and involved with the athlete's plan of care.
Overall, Healthy Roster will make communication of an athletic injury between athletic trainer, parent, and coach a BREEZE! Healthy Roster can be downloaded on your phone for free in the App Store. For more information on signing up CLICK HERE. Healthy Roster is going "live" on January 18th. Questions please contact Jaz Wagner at jwagner@elida.k12.oh.us.
