Sir Francis Bacon
Francis Bacon was borne January 22, 1561 on London England. Bacon served as the attorney general and Lord Chancellor of England. He wrote plays and also lived in the same time period as William Shakespeare.
Christopher Marlowe also was a play write in the same time period of Shakespeare which is called the Elizabethan time period. Some people say that Shakespeare owes Christopher a lot of gratitude for what he has done.
Edward De Vere
Edward De Vere was an English peer and courtier of the Elizabethan era. Oxford was heir to the second oldest earldom in the kingdom, a court favorite for a time. He was a sought-after patron of the arts, and noted by his contemporaries as a lyric poet and a court playwright.
The controversy of William Shakespeare
The three men shown could well be William Shakespeare. People are led to believe that it is nearly impossible for a single man to write plays and sonnets when their was so many other poets in the Elizabethan era. With some of the controversy brought up people are beginning to believe that Shakespeare would have poets write plays for him and he would put his name on it so everyone will know him as a great poet.
