December Focus: Mid-Year Assessment, Maintaining Routines, Mastering Objectives
Mid-Year Assessment
Mid-Year assessments are being completed this week. Thank you for supporting your student in completing them independently. Your student's report will be emailed to you on December 17th. Teachers will be using the data from the assessment to plan their instruction for the 2nd half of the school year.
Maintaining Routines
This time of the year is so busy and goes by quickly. Teachers are working to maintain schooling routines during the last 2 weeks before winter break. Students have worked hard and have earned a well-deserved break. Make a plan to ensure that when we come back in January, your student is ready to jump back into their daily schooling routine.
Mastering Objectives
The school year is almost half way over! Students have been learning many skills and mastering grade level objectives in all their subjects. My hope is that during the break, students will continue to read for enjoyment and develop a love of reading. MindPlay will be open over the break if you student wishes to continue to increase their reading skills and fluency.
