Glacier Ridge Elementary School 01.14.21
Dear Glacier Ridge Families,
We have had a great week here with our K-2 and program students having returned on Monday. Mrs. Reinhardt and I saw a lot of great learning happening and many happy kids. We are excited to welcome back our grades 3-5 students back on the 25th.
As always we continue to work on our respect, responsibility and safety. It's our pleasure to report that the students are doing a great job following safety protocols while working hard as students.
Tomorrow will be an institute day for our teaching staff and Monday will be a day off in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Have a great weekend.
Mr. Jacobsen and Mrs. Reinhardt

Glacier Ridge is Heart Healthy
Glacier Ridge School is celebrating it's 20th year participating in the Kids Heart Challenge! This year all Glacier Ridge students will be participating in cardiovascular activities during Remote P.E. classes the week of February 1st. Students will participate in a variety of games and activities to make their hearts stronger through exercise. At this time students will also have the option of collecting donations for the American Heart Association. The money Glacier Ridge collects will help fund potentially life saving research into heart and blood vessel diseases. Glacier Ridge can also earn certificates from the AHA to purchase new P.E. equipment. To register your child (it’s free) and for more information visit our Glacier Ridge team page.
Erin's Law
In response to the state mandate of educating students about Erin’s Law, District 47 will again host the Be Seen and Heard© 2.0 program, a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse awareness program for students in grades K-8. The program is designed to create an age-appropriate, safe and engaging environment where students will learn about the difference between safe and unsafe touch, and the importance of having a trusted hero, someone a child trusts and can turn to for help. The presentation will be delivered to students in January 2021.
