Picture Day

Please note that Monday, October 3 is picture day. These are typically the pictures that will go in the yearbook. Be sure to send in your picture money if you would like to prepay for photos. If not, I believe you will have a chance to purchase pictures after they are taken. They work hard to make sure that we will have pictures finished before specials and recess. If you'd like to send your child with a change of clothes, you're more than welcome to do so.

iPad Reminders

Severall iPads have come to school with either a very low charge, or no charge at all. Please make sure charging the iPad every night is part of your child's routine. Often times, the children who come with iPads low on power are also the ones who leave chargers at home. These should be in their backpacks in case they need it at school.

Some students have also repeatedly forgotten their iPads. If your child has struggled with this, consider placing his/her backpack right next to the place the iPad is charging. Sometimes things are easier to remember when they are in the same place!

Thanks for your help in this.

Progress Reports

On Wednesday, October 5, your child's progress report will be ready to view. These will be available in a folder you can access through your child's Google Drive.

The folder you will need to open to access them is called "Last Name, First Name 2016-17 Standards Based Report Card." The progress your child has made this year will be recorded on the report card document and will be updated again when report cards are due later in October.

Please let your child's teacher know if you need help accessing your child's Google Drive. Also note that we will make sure your child has the standards based report card folder in his/her Drive by Wednesday. You might not be able to locate it before then.

Yearbook Cover Contest

You should have received a green flyer about the Yearbook Cover Contest. If they have an interest, we hope you will encourage your child to submit an never know what might happen! Please make sure to read the directions carefully on the has to be drawn with pencil (no crayons!) on 8 1/2 x 11" white paper. All submissions are due Wednesday, October 5. We are unable to accept late submissions. Good luck!
