Student Recognition
Tammy Snyder and Brian Iobst, OMS Computer Fair advisors, recognized Pennsylvania State MIDDLE School Computer Fair Champions: Willie Hawley, Faizan Datoo and Alex Cevicelow
PHS Principal Jim Moniz introduced the following music teachers to recognize state winners as follows:
All-State Band: Max Stempel, Grace Lerew – teacher, Jason Lerew
All-East Band: Matt Latshaw, teacher, Jason Lerew
All-State Chorus: Jillian Krempasky, Jennifer Ondrey, Natalie Ondrey, Josiah Smith, Jacob Stahl, Lisa Stein, Bryan Sobczak – teacher, Frank Anonia
All-State Orchestra: Saagar Asnani, Guinevere Connor, Michael Wu – teacher, Karen Creeden
Fogelsville Elementary School Site Improvement Project
Bruce E. Anderson of The Pidcock Company showcased a plan to reduce the number of driveways off of route 100 near Fogelsville Elementary School that includes deceleration lanes on Route 100 which would improve the flow of traffic near the school and near a proposed hotel complex that the Jaindl Land Company hopes to develop next to the school. The proposal includes site improvements and would not come at any cost to the school district, buy instead paid for by the developers. He asked for support and announced that the next step would be to seek approval from Upper Macungie Township.
Business Meeting
Karen Dopera, Principal of Schnecksville Elementary, read a statement about the elementary curriculum and how it lives up to our mission of educating for success and inspiring excellence. She summarized the math, science, social studies and language arts opportunities for students.

SMS SCIENCE: SMS Principal Michelle Minotti introduced Dr. Sam Ghosh to recognize State Science Olympiad Champions as follows:: Thwisha Anantasagar, Vidhyasai Annem, Karthik Chavan, Nishant Chitluru, Roy Ghosh, Nehali Gupta, Priyanka Hanumaihgari, Sahil Inaganti, Aryaman Khandelwal, James Kim, Aditi Pallod, Neha Pamidi, Vikram Pandian, Rashmi Raghuraman, Praneel Rajkumar, Habeeb Salau. OMS SCIENCE: OMS Principal Todd Gombos introduced OMS Science teacher Dianne Haberstroh to recognize the Perfect Scorers of the PA Junior Academy of Science: Christian Antry, Jason Feichtel, Louise Gottwald and Grace Knauss
Dianne also recognized Delaware Valley Science Fair first place winners: Grace Knauss and Valmiki Kothare.

Roundtable
Mrs. Marcus noted that the English as a Second Language Program mandated by the state costs Parkland approximately 700k of which we get 61k in funding to support it. The rest is paid for by local tax payers.

Rich Sniscak and the School Board commented on all of the wonderful student recognitions that were enjoyed by all this evening. They were amazed at the high level of intelligence and accomplishment of the students. Many commented that Mrs. Stinebaugh will be missed as she is retiring and has been a wonderful teacher at PHS. She and all retirees were wished good health and happiness. Mr. Sniscak and the Board commended Jim Moniz and PHS for organizing a wonderful graduation event at the new PPL Center.
