LOSD School Board Student Representative Application Due Soon
Seeking Volunteers for School & Board Advisory Committees
We need parents/guardians, students, teachers, staff members, and community residents to consider serving on our School and Board advisory committees. Applications and committee charters are available on the district website under School Board. Please submit your application by Tuesday, April 5 at 5 p.m. Possible interviews following submission, and notification of selected committee members by May 10, 2022. Thank you in advance for your service!

Senior Meeting at 10AM on Friday, April 22nd in the Auditorium
Senior Clearance Activities begin April 13th on Google Classroom
CRLEs will keep you from graduating - 188 of you have NOT turned in your two 5 hour experiences!! Make sure you get your forms turned in to Mrs. Batson ASAP
Caps, Gowns and Tassels - these will be given out at our first meeting on Wednesday the 13th - if you have not ordered them yet please go to jostens.com to get that done - they will ship to your home moving forward.
Graduation Tickets: Each Graduate receives 6 graduation tickets - up to 4 additional graduation tickets can be purchased from the book keeper after April 20. If you do not need all your tickets you can let Liz Murphy know and she will make them available to other graduates to purchase.
Your graduation tickets will be given to you after you have completely clear and not until the morning of grad rehearsal.
Dates to block out for graduation events:
June 2nd 12:45 - 3:30 Merit Awards - Mandatory attendance for seniors. Parents attend by invite only
June 3rd 8:00 - 12:00 Graduation Rehearsal - Mandatory attendance for seniors if you are participating in the ceremony
June 3rd 3:15 - arrive at Rollings Hills for ceremony
June 3rd 4:00 - 6:00 Graduation Ceremony
June 3rd 6:30 - 11:00 Senior Sunset

Rotary Club of Lake Oswego Scholarships!
Three scholarships will be awarded both at Lakeridge and Lake Oswego HIgh School
for $3000 each !!!
The Service Above Self Scholarship: Based primarily on a commitment to community service
The Merit Scholarship: Based primarily on academic achievement, student activities, honors, and leadership
The Bigelow Scholarship Unlike our other scholarships, an important consideration will be the candidate student's need, and what has precipitated that need.
The judges for the Bigelow Scholarship are interested in learning about challenges that candidates may have faced, and how they've addressed those challenges. The Bigelow Scholarship will take into consideration academic achievement, student activities, honors, and involvement with community service.
As many qualified applicants as possible are encouraged to apply!!

Hunger Fighters Looking for Student Board Representation
"The Hunger Fighters Food Pantry, a local food pantry with Key Club collaborates, is looking for students on its board of directors. To be eligible as a candidate students must fill out the application below and be going into 9th, 10th, or 11th grade next year as it is a two-year position. The application deadline is April 30th."

Asian Cultural Festival on April 16th
Mark your calendars! All are invited to the Asian Cultural Festival being hosted by the Lake Oswego High School Asian American Student Union (AASU) on Saturday, Apr. 16, 12pm - 5pm at the high school. The festival will feature Asian culture through performances, free food samples, and over 15 different activities/exhibits including fashion exhibits, arts and crafts, and bollywood dancing with DJ Prashant.
There is free admission to the general event, but due to limited space in the auditorium, tickets are required to watch the performances. The show is from 2 pm to 3:30 pm and includes 10 acts. Performances include lion dancers, martial arts, traditional Asian instruments, cultural dance, and much more. To buy tickets or learn more about the event, please visit AsianFestivalLO.com.
