Judah
Son of Jacob
Influence
Judah was one of the 12 sons of Jacob. He was also a founder of 1 of the 12 tribes of Israel. Judah was a ancestor to Joseph, who became Jesus's dad. He was also a ancestor of King David. Judah played a role in saving the life of his brother Joseph. When Joseph's brothers had plotted to leave Joseph in a pit to die, Judah convinced his brothers to sell Joseph to Ishmaelites, rather than letting him die. (Genesis 37:26-28). Joseph would end up in the Pharaoh's court, letting his family settle in Egypt. The religion Judaism came from Judah's Great Grandpa.
