Students are to wear their school appropriate costumes to school and be able to change after the parade. (No blood, weapons, or masks that obstruct vision.) We will be parading outside in the bus parking loop. Please bring your own chair. Please do not park in the back lot though due to this event!
Unfortunately, we will not be allowing guests into the building for parties. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we keep all students healthy and safe!

MASKS
The Kent County Health Department order “requiring people in pre-kindergarten through grade six consistently and properly wear a facial covering while inside any enclosed building or structure of the institution” remains in effect and bears the force of law. Gov. Whitmer, when signing the budget you referenced, said the language prohibiting local public health departments from issuing public health orders requiring masks for individuals under the age of 18 was unconstitutional. Should the health department rescind its order, or the courts rule the language you reference does in fact prohibit health departments from issuing masking orders, we will comply with the law at that time. Until then, we remain bound by the August 20 public health order, which requires masks to be worn by all individuals in Pre-K through 6th grade classrooms/buildings until 60 days after a vaccine has been approved for children under the age of 12.
