The Beginning of New Ideas
During the 1600's the Western Europeans started to re-examine the world. Scientists began to perform more and more experiments, along the way they made many exciting discoveries. They began to understand the basic laws that govern nature. It all began in mathematics and astronomy, however it soon began to change all areas of natural science.
Scientific Revolution Accomplishments
Galileo Galileo was one of the leading figures in the scientific revolution. He demonstrated that the planets revolve around the sun. In the late 1600's Isaac Newton explained how objects on earth and in the sky behaved, he also developed some of the scientific methods we use today.
