Notes from the Principal
Put your LOVE on.
This past weekend's readings were about the Feast of the Holy Family. At Saint Patrick's 11 am mass Deacon Dennis preached about the Holy Family and how we should strive to be more like them in our families. None of us can be perfect but we can always "put Love on". Deacon joked about all the things he puts on in his life, but that his resolution this year would be to put Love on more often. This one thing can help us to be more like the Holy Family than anything else. The Bible says we should clothe ourselves with kindness, gentleness and patience. We should put on a forgiving attitude. Finally it says, we should top it off by putting on love. Love brings it all together in perfect unity. Everyone can put on love, old and young, boy and girl and the best thing is that it never goes out of style.
As a school family it is important that we all strive to put our love on this year, towards our families, other school families and staff. Can you imagine the world our children will see directly if we can practice living that out? I have personally decided to make the conscience effort everyday to put on love, will you join me?
Colossians 3:12-21
12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Painting the Gym
Special thanks goes out to all those involved in helping to paint the gym. With a little elbow grease the lower half of the gym was cleaned and painted. Thanks to Shermin Williams and the 2019 Graduating class for donating the paint and supplies!

Catholic Schools Week
From January 26th- February 1st we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week. A more in depth calendar will be sent home in the next week. We are currently looking for students and parents to share why they love Montini with the parish communities on January 26th. We are in need of speakers for masses at Holy Apostles, Saint Patrick and Saint Mary. Speakers share a 1-2 minute speech about their experiences at Montini, why they make the sacrifice, how they or their children have benefited. This is our opportunity to personally help our community understand what truly makes Montini unique. Please email Mrs. Stark if you are interested in speaking. Families will be given volunteer hours.
We are also in need of 8th grade students to help give tours to families during the Open House on January 26th from 10am-1pm.
Friday January 31st the teachers and staff will host a Family Dinner and Game Night to thank the families for their commitment to Montini. Please watch for more information regarding this evening!
